John has joked about reserving space for that insignia someday. John collects tattoos, while all the “tattoo” Te’ijal has is a vampire house insignia on her back, created with blood magic.
He definitely washes his hands thrice over if he has to touch garlic for any reason so he doesn’t accidentally burn her with it or anything.

They love to drink together (without getting wasted) while a full moon is out and the lights are low. Te’ijal is eternally amused at how John seemingly has infinitely big pockets on his coat, because he’s going to pull out all sorts of stuff from them. He doesn’t mind what she wears either, whether she’s wearing pants or a dress. Speaking of hair, John doesn’t mind whether Te’ijal puts her hair up or keeps it down (as with her sprite). Besides, his height makes it easier for her to reach his curls. Meanwhile, Te'ijal thinks it's adorable that John's shorter than her. He's more concerned that she's as thin as a pole. John doesn't really mind that Te'ijal is taller than him. They don't really hold hands, but John often lends his arm for Te'ijal to hold. John is usually the one slooowly advancing their romance. Te’ijal lets things happen as they happen but is super giddy when they happen.
